Rematriculation

After a three-year hiatus, I’ve decided to embark on the quixotic endeavor of drawing a comic strip about life in college again.

Why?

I asked myself this numerous times over the summer as I struggled to generate ideas, find time to draw, and prepare for this fall’s relaunch. Being weeks away from my 34th birthday, I wondered if I could still come up with material that would amuse college students. I wondered if people would think I had a chronic case of Peter Pan syndrome and couldn’t let go of college. I wondered if I could find time for this hobby when my real job got really busy.

However, amidst my doubts & fears, there was a feeling that overrode them all. I simply missed (drawing) the characters I created many moons ago. While I moved on from college over 12 years ago, to subject them to the same would be to expose them to a fate worse than death (i.e. graduation).

So I offer you Blundergrads.com. Stop by every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for a mix of classic and new strips. Stay tuned for announcements on where to find exclusive material. And while this site is technically a blog, I assure you the focus will be on my illustrations and not my pontifications.

I have no idea where this road will lead, but I’m happy you’re considering coming along for the ride.

Sincerely,

Phil
